Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Channel 1, Inc. ("Channel 1", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your personal information when you visit, use our services, or otherwise communicate with us through meetprism.com (the "Site") or the Prism video production platform and related services (collectively, the "Services").
Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using and accessing any of the Services, you agree to the collection, use, and disclosure of your information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use or access any of the Services.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. Revised versions will be posted on the Site with an updated "Last updated" date.
How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information
We collect personal information from various sources depending on how you interact with the Services. We use collected information to provide the Services, communicate with you, comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms of service, and protect the Services and your rights.
What Personal Information We Collect
Information Collected Directly from You
- Basic contact details (name, work email, organization, role, phone number)
- Account information (username, password, security questions)
- Demo and sales inquiries you submit through forms on the Site
- Customer support information (communications with us)
- Any other information you choose to provide through forms or correspondence
Customer Content
When you use the Prism platform, you may upload or connect source material — including recordings, footage, audio, scripts, articles, and newswire feeds ("Customer Content") — which we process on your behalf to provide the Services. Customer Content is handled in accordance with your agreement with us, and you retain ownership of your Customer Content.
Information Collected Through Cookies
On this website, analytics cookies are set only after you accept them through the cookie banner (your choice is stored in your browser’s localStorage under prism-cookie-consent for about six months). If analytics are enabled and you accept, we collect usage data such as device information, browser details, approximate location from IP address, and page interactions. Declining analytics does not affect the Site’s functionality. Within the Prism platform itself, we may collect usage data through cookies and similar technologies as described in your service agreement.
Information Obtained from Third Parties
We may receive information from third-party sources, including companies supporting the Site and Services, analytics providers, and online tracking technologies when you visit the Site, open emails, or interact with the Services.
How We Use Your Personal Information
- Providing Products and Services: We use personal information to provide the Services, process requests, send account notifications, manage accounts, and respond to inquiries.
- Marketing and Advertising: We may use personal information to send marketing communications via email or other channels, and to tailor messaging about products or services of interest.
- Security and Fraud Prevention: We use personal information to detect and investigate possible fraudulent, illegal, or malicious activity.
- Communicating with You: We use personal information to provide customer support and improve the Services.
Cookies
This website uses a consent-first approach: no analytics cookies are set unless you accept them in the cookie banner, and your consent choice itself is stored in localStorage (not a cookie). When accepted, analytics (Google Analytics, when enabled) help us understand how the Site is used, with IP anonymization on and all advertising storage disabled. You can change your choice at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Embedded video on some pages is served by Mux with cookies disabled.
You can remove or reject cookies through your browser controls, though this may negatively impact your user experience and functionality of the Site.
How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to vendors or third parties performing services on our behalf, business and marketing partners, affiliates, in connection with business transactions (such as mergers or acquisitions), or to comply with legal obligations.
Service providers for this website currently include: Amazon Web Services (website hosting and content delivery, and processing of demo requests and email signups submitted through our forms — form submissions are handled by our own first-party service running on AWS, not by a third-party form processor), Cloudflare (Turnstile bot verification on our forms), Mux (video streaming on pages with embedded demos; configured with cookies disabled), and, if analytics are enabled and you consent, Google Analytics (usage analytics with IP anonymization). Each processes data only as needed to provide its service.
Third Party Websites and Links
The Site may provide links to third-party websites or online platforms. We recommend reviewing the privacy, security, and terms policies of third-party sites before providing any information. We do not guarantee or assume responsibility for the privacy, security, accuracy, completeness, or reliability of non-affiliated sites.
Children's Data
The Services are not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information about minors. Parents or guardians of children who have provided personal information may request deletion by contacting us using the details below.
Security and Retention of Your Information
No security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Information in transit may not remain secure, and you should avoid using unsecure channels for sensitive communications. Information retention depends on factors including account maintenance needs, Service provision, legal compliance, dispute resolution, and contract enforcement.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Right to Access/Know: Request access to held personal information and details about usage and sharing.
- Right to Delete: Request deletion of maintained personal information.
- Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right of Portability: Receive a copy of held personal information and request transfer to a third party, with certain exceptions.

- Restriction of Processing: Request that we stop or restrict personal information processing.
- Withdrawal of Consent: Withdraw consent where it is the basis for processing.

- Managing Communication Preferences: Opt out of promotional emails using unsubscribe options.
You may exercise these rights through the Site or by contacting us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Identity verification may be required before we respond to your request.
Complaints
If you have complaints about how we process your personal information, please contact us using the details below. If you are unsatisfied with our response, depending on your location, you may have the right to appeal or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
International Users
Your personal information may be transferred, stored, and processed outside your home country, including in the United States. For transfers out of Europe, we rely on recognized mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent UK-issued contracts, unless the destination country provides adequate protection.
